In this project, Forster sets on a journey to note the overlooked, the quirky, the subtle, the strange, the beautiful. The photographs of this series may seem banal at first glance, yet they strongly resonate on an emotional level — a reaction unanimously shared by the near. prize jury. For this reason, we are pleased to give a special mention to Homo Faber and Divine Providence. Keeping their simplicity, the images delight in the unexpected, playfully engaging with the festival theme Forever Happy as well as displaying the artist’s sheer and evident joy in the act of seeing and photographing.
